Napier Cottage in Golant is the perfect place for an activity weekend in Cornwall whether it be dog-walking, walking the Saints Way or Cornish Coastal Path, sailing, a kayaking holiday or landscape painting.
If you bring your dog and are visiting an attraction which does not accept dogs you are welcome to leave your four-legged friend with the owner Debbie and her labradoodle, Rufus. We are also on hand to tell you all about the local walks and even give you an escorted
tour if you want.If you would like to take a picnic lunch with you that can be arranged too.
A Cornish artist’s retreat
Napier Cottage has a wonderful summerhouse in the hillside garden overlooking the river – a perfect artist’s retreat – there is even an easel on hand. The summerhouse is the perfect place to chill out with a glass of wine and watch the world go by on the river.
What visitors say:
“Debbie was a perfect host, friendly, chatty and genuinely interested in the long distance walk that we were on. Her cottage was very pretty and stones throw from the waterfront and pub, with lovely views over the Fowey estuary from our bedroom window. Our only regret was that we couldn’t have stayed another night or two to enjoy the summerhouse with its BBQ patio which had an even more extensive view. A magical spot on a quiet summer’s evening. Oh – and a great cooked breakfast to send us on our way!”
“The best b and b I have ever stayed in! Clean, friendly, beautiful area, friendly local pub great walks on The Saints way which passes the front door. The owner couldn’t do enough, and I even took the dog for a walk! I have already made up my mind to return next year. Many thanks Debbie. (and Rufus of course).
“Napier Cottage is a little gem, lovely & clean, excellent full English breakfast. Comfy bed with amazing views from room. Summer house & gas bbq with stunning views over the estuary. Debbie went above & beyond the call of duty by offering my daughter & her friends a place to stay after they were nearly washed away at Newquay music festival. Luckily the kids stuck it out but I was so grateful for Debbie’s offer & kindness which gave me peace of mind.”
